Pushing boundaries on the slopes runs in the Petersen family. Kye’s father, Trevor Petersen, an extreme-skiing pioneer had his life taken by an avalanche at age 34. Recently, young Kye was proud to have skied Exit Couloir, the chute in Chamonix, France, that took his father’s life. The Rossignol athlete has turned heads with his DVD antics in Anomaly and Wski 106, a performance for which he won the Best Humor award at the 2005 Powder Video Awards, showing he has personality to go along with his inherited talent.
